SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College men's lacrosse team has released its 2022 season schedule.
 
The schedule features 15 contests including games against each of the seven Liberty League opponents. The Thoroughbreds are scheduled to play eight home games at Wachenheim Field.
 
"The 2022 schedule presents a great opportunity for our team to compete against many of the top programs in the nation," Skidmore head coach Joe Martin said. "This year we have put together a schedule that is going to challenge us early on to prepare us for the gauntlet that is the Liberty League."
 
The regular season is set to commence on Friday, Feb. 19 at home versus MIT. The Thoroughbreds will then battle SUNYAC teams in three of its next four games (@Cortland-2/26, vs. Oneonta-3/2, @Plattsburgh State-3/9). Other non-league home games include Haverford College on March 5, Eastern Connecticut State on March 12, and Bowdoin College on March 19. Skidmore wraps its non-conference portion of the schedule at Drew on March 19.
 
The Thoroughbreds will host RPI on Saturday, March 26 to begin Liberty League play. Skidmore will then travel to Vassar the following Saturday before hosting St. Lawrence on Friday, April 8. Three of the final four games of the regular season will be played on the road. Skidmore will play at Ithaca on April 16 and at Union on April 20. Before closing at Clarkson on April 30, the Thoroughbreds will host defending national champion RIT on Saturday, April 23.
 
The Liberty League Semifinals are slated for Wednesday, May 4 and the title game will be played on Saturday, May 7.  
 
"This group brings great energy and has really come together as a team through the fall semester," Martin continued. "Our entire coaching staff is excited to see this group continue to grow together and for the challenges that lie ahead."
