SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College women's basketball team led the entire way to go 6-0 with a 62-35 win over Clarkson University Friday night in the Liberty League opener for both teams.

The unbeaten start ties the best beginning in program history set in at the opening of the 2009-10 season. The Golden Knights are 0-5.

Clare Driscoll led the Thoroughbreds with 14 points in only 15 minutes. She also had a pair of blocks and two steals.
Andi Levitz scored a career-high 12 points, shooting 4-8 from beyond the arc.
Julia Blanck pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds.

Skidmore's bench outscored Clarkson 44-12.

Elaina Porter topped the Golden Knights in scoring with eight points. Lauren Bell had 10 rebounds.

Skidmore overcame a slow start to lead 15-11 after the first quarter. The Thoroughbreds extended the lead to 30-17 at the half and remained well in control the rest of the way.

Next up will be a Liberty League home showdown on Saturday at 2 p.m. against unbeaten St. Lawrence.
