Ella Stone had a goal and an assist leading the Skidmore College women's soccer team to a 3-0 win over Vassar College on Saturday.

In the bunched-up Liberty League standings, Skidmore is now tied with Union for third place with seven points and a 2-1-1 record. Stretching their unbeaten streak to four games, the Thoroughbreds are 6-3-1 overall. Vassar drops in 1-2-1 in the conference and 6-4-1 overall.

Melissa Haas and
Carly Craft also scored for Skidmore.
Ava Keller made nine saves to pick up her first shutout of the fall.

Haas scored directly on a corner kick in the 13
th minute when her high cross floated over the crowd of players and twisted into the net. The Thoroughbreds took a 2-0 lead into halftime after Stone converted a boot from 23 yards out in the 28
th minute. Craft guided the ball into the open net in the 76
th minute after Stone's shot was initially saved.

The Brewers were held off the scoresheet despite winning the shot battle, 15-12. Vassar also had eight corner kicks, while Skidmore finished with six. For Vassar, Julia Reigrut made two saves, and Madison Bouggess finished with a game-high four shots, including three on goal. Craft and Stone each had three shots to lead Skidmore.

Skidmore will hit the road for the final time of the regular season for contests Oct. 15 and 16 at Ithaca College and RIT, respectively. Â Â
