POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.— After trading goals in the first six minutes of play, neither Skidmore or Vassar could connect over the final 104 minutes in a 1-1 Liberty League men's soccer tie.
The Thoroughbreds are 6-4-1 (1-2-1 Liberty), while the Brewers are 8-2-1 (2-1-1).
Vassr scored on its first shot attempt in the 4th minute. Quinn Tunnell got one past the Skidmore defense with Austin Lukasik assisting.
Skidmore evened the score two minutes later when
Roman Toepler broke up a Vassar clear attempt. He touched the ball to
Finn Weber, who kneed the ball in from the right side for his seventh goal of the season.
The Brewers failed on a penalty kick in the 41
st minute when the shot went off the left post.
Bobby Stratts had six saves for Skidmore, including one in the overtime.
The Thoroughbreds host Ithaca on Friday at 4 p.m.
