Olivia Allen broke a scoreless tie in the 70
th minute to catapult the Skidmore College women's soccer team over Hartwick College, 1-0.

Skidmore improves to 5-3-1 with the win in its final regular season non-conference match, as Hartwick dips to 3-2-3.

Allen, a senior, has goals in two consecutive games. She scored her first-career goal on Saturday at Rensselaer. Allen found herself with an open net after the Hartwick keeper, Sara Staup, unsuccessfully punched away a Thoroughbred cross in the final third of regulation.

Skidmore dominated to the tune of a 21-3 advantage in shots. Staup was solid in goal for Hartwick, finishing with nine saves.
Ava Keller started for Skidmore and made one save.
Claire Wolgast was not required to make a save in the second half, but still earned her first-career win.

Despite the lopsided shot totals, Hartwick had four corner kicks against three for Skidmore.

Isabelle Sullivan led the game with six shots, including three on target.
Ella Stone also put three shots on net and five total shots for the game.
Vanessa Eljaiek had three shots and two on goal.

Skidmore is back home for the first time in three weeks on Saturday, Oct. 9 to host Vassar College in Liberty League play. Skidmore will play four of its final six games, all conference games, at Wachenheim Field.
