SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College women's volleyball team swept Oswego State (25-21, 25-21, 25-17) and took down New Paltz in four sets (25-21, 16-25, 25-23, 25-23) to finish a perfect 3-0 at the Skidmore Invitational.

Skidmore finishes the season 13-15 with a perfect 6-0 record at its two hosted tournaments. Before today's first match, Skidmore honored its two seniors:
Zoe Beals and
Lauren Kramer.

Beals had eight kills and four blocks to pace Skidmore in the first match of the day.
Sophie Sacco and
Grace Aronson each had six. Aronson also had three aces, while Beals and
Tiffany Flores had two. Flores also had 14 assists and
Jessica Shulman tallied 13. Sacco,
Ella Harris, and
Jo Blanco all posted a solo block.

Georgia Farry had 10 kills for the Lakers in the effort. Olivia Bunn finished with seven kills and Sydney Chiffriller posted five with 11 digs and a pair of blocks. Bunn also had two blocks.

The rollercoaster New Paltz match saw Skidmore win back-to-back sets by a margin of just two after the squads split the first two sets. Beals capped her collegiate career by racking up 16 kills on 28 attempts with four errors for a .429 hitting percentage. Harris had eight kills and three blocks, one solo. Blanco had four kills and block, while Shulman and Flores combined for 33 assists.
Elizabeth Miller had 12 digs, an ace, and an assist. Kramer posted six digs and a kill.

New Paltz jumped out to a four-point lead in the first set before the Thoroughbreds went on a 9-3 run to overtake the Hawks. Skidmore got four of the final five points to take the 1-0 set lead. It was all New Paltz for most of the second set, as the lead reached its largest at 12. Play went back-and-forth for all the third set until, when tied at 23, a pair of errors gave the Thoroughbreds the set. The fourth set was much of the same. A quick 3-0 run brought Skidmore to match point. A Victoria Konicki kill made it 24-23 Skidmore before Harris put down a kill to clinch it. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â

Mackenzie Williams tallied 19 kills for New Paltz. She also had 10 digs, a block, and three aces. Laetisha Perez had 11 kills.
