SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.— A late comeback by fell short for the Skidmore College women's soccer team in a 2-1 Liberty League loss to St. Lawrence University Saturday afternoon at Wachenheim Field.

The loss puts the Thoroughbreds at 7-5-1 overall and 3-3-1 in Liberty League play. The Saints are 7-5-2 and 3-4-1.

Emma Reynolds opened the scoring for SLU when Duun Cocozza O'Hara headed down a Skidmore clear attempt and moved the ball up the right sideline before centering a pass to Reynolds who connected for her third goal of the season at 27:05.

Isabel Silvia collected a well-placed ball in front from Jenna Durkin and scored in traffic at 53:48 for the 2-0 lead.

Skidmore kept attacking and it paid off when
Katheryn Dunn beat a defender and sent a long cross to the right side that
Paige Karl drilled into the net from 25 yards out at 81:03. The Thoroughbreds kept the pressure up, but were not able to get the equalizer.

The Saints had a slight 19-17 shot edge.
Ava Keller had 10 saves for the Thoroughbreds as did Keely Snode for SLU.

Skidmore will host Union College on Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. in a key Liberty League contest.
