Note: In anticipation of Skidmore's virtual Commencement ceremony on May 30, there will be a team-by-team salute to senior athletes of the Class of 2020. This is eighth of 19 presentations prepared with head coach input. Next up: women's lacrosse (May 25) and men's lacrosse (May 25).

Jessica Centore, from Milford, Conn., is a health and human physiological sciences major who is also on the nursing track. As one of three captains and a four-year member of the women's basketball team, Jessica was a steady presence on the court for the Thoroughbreds her senior year, averaging career-high marks in points, rebounds, free throw percentage and minutes played while also leading the team in steals.  Jess dished out a career high of nine assists against Bard College on January 24th and netted a career high of 32 points against William Smith on February 22nd.  Off the court, Jessica was a recipient of the 2017-18 and 2019-20 Liberty League All-Academic Team award. She plans to attend an accelerated nursing program at New York University after graduation.

Lilly Berg, from Smyrna, N.Y., is an Education major with a minor in sociology who earned Thoroughbred Society honors in the Fall of 2018. As one of three captains and four-year member of the women's basketball team, Lilly has been a steady presence in the paint for the Thoroughbreds, grabbing 102 rebounds this season while shooting 41% from the floor.  Lilly showcased her dominance in the paint with a career high of 13 rebounds in a gritty win against RPI on January 31st. Just a few weeks later, Lilly recorded a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds against Clarkson University on February 16th.  After graduation, Lilly plans to spend the summer working as a camp counselor and will then head to graduate school to get her Masters in special education.
