Women’s tennis returns to action with 9-0 blowout at William Smith

GENEVA, N.Y.—The Skidmore College women's tennis team opened its spring schedule with an efficient 9-0 Liberty League win at William Smith College Saturday,
 
The 17th ranked Thoroughbreds are 4-0 overall and 4-0 in Liberty League play. Skidmore had won 34 straight Liberty League matches.
 
Risa Fukushige and Maya Lai led the doubles sweep with an 8-3 win. Fukushige won 6-3, 6-3 at number one singles, while Lai was a 6-3, 6-0 winner at number three.
 
Skidmore travels to Division I University of Buffalo on Sunday.
