SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Despite a strong third quarter, the Skidmore College women's basketball could not hold of Williams College in a 56-45 loss Saturday afternoon at the Williamson Center.

The Thoroughbreds drop to 2-8, while the Ephs are a perfect 11-0.

Jessica Centore led Skidmore in scoring with 14 points alongside three steals and two blocks.
Kate McCarney added 10 points.
Lilly Berg led the team in the paint with eight rebounds.

The Ephs were topped in scoring by Morgan Dauk with 19 points. Maggie Meehan followed with an additional 11 points and six rebounds. Katie Brule pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds.

The Thoroughbreds went into halftime trailing 27-21. Skidmore came out strong defensively in the third quarter, outrebounding Williams 12-8, to hang tight, however the Ephs regained control and pulled away for the 56-45 win.

The Thoroughbreds travel to Ithaca College on Jan 10 for a Liberty League contest at 5:30 p.m.
