The Thoroughbreds got off to a hot start. Kupstas came strong hitting his first four shots, including three threes for 11 points. He finished the first half with 15 points. Despite trailing in the early minutes of the game, back to back three pointers by Kupstas followed by a layup put the Thoroughbreds ahead 18-13 with 11:36 left. Skidmore extended the lead to 40-27 at the half.

The second half was no different, as Skidmore took control of the game. Lamport exploded scoring 10 of his 19 points and hauling in seven rebounds to help secure the win. A layup by Gallagher in the paint gave Skidmore a 59-42 lead with 9:12 remaining. The largest lead came off of two made free throws by Kupstas with 3:15 remaining, putting Skidmore up 71-52.

"It was good to be back in our own building tonight," said Skidmore coach Joe Burke. "We did some good things for long stretches against a really well coached team. I was proud of the hustle plays we made, what we lacked in execution we made up for in effort. Excited to keep building momentum with this group."

The Thoroughbreds return to the Williamson Center for more Liberty League action against Bard College Friday at 7:30 p.m.
