Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Thoroughbreds remain unbeaten with 2-2 road tie

NEW PALTZ, N.Y.—The Skidmore College women's soccer team came from behind twice to post a 2-2 tie at SUNY New Paltz Saturday afternoon.
The Thoroughbreds are off to a 2-0-1 start. The Hawks are 1-2-2.

New Paltz grabbed a 1-0 lead in the 28th minute, but Skidmore responded with Carly Craft's third goal of the season, from Yasmine Boukari. The second-year standout has scored in all three of her team's games.

The Hawks went in front for a second time at 57:13. The Thoroughbreds answered quickly when Isabella Nevin tallied her collegiate goal at 60:46.

The teams traded chances over the rest of regulation and overtime, however, both defenses held on for the 2-2 tie.

Skidmore had a 15-14 edge in shots. Vivian Montgomery-Walsh had six saves over the final 65 minutes, including two key stops in overtime. Ava Keller recorded three saves in the first 45:00.

The Thoroughbreds look to continue their hot start at home Sept. 11 against Hartwick in a 7 p.m. match.
