GENESEO, N.Y.— Geneseo scored three times in the first half in a 4-1 non-league field hockey win over Skidmore College Saturday afternoon.
The Thoroughbreds are 0-2 to start the season. The Knights are 3-1.
Morgan Sickels scored her first collegiate goal for Skidmore. Gabe Vaccaro assisted.
Geneseo had a 27-9 shot and 15-5 corner advantage.
Natalie Metzger had two defensive saves for the Thoroughbreds.
Jess Gaetgens had eight saves and allowed two goals in 39:40. Maddie Carre had six saves with two goals against in 20:20.
Skidmore hosts Hamilton on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
