PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Skidmore College men's soccer team made its road debut a successful one, defeating Plattsburgh State by a 2-0 score, at the Field House Complex Saturday evening.
 
Skidmore gets back into the win column after a pair of ties, remaining unbeaten with a 4-0-2 record. Plattsburgh falls to 2-4.
 
Skidmore had no trouble scoring in its first road contest of the season, as Stanley Langyintuo continued his hot start, tallying a goal in the fourth minute. He has scored an impressive seven goals in five contests. The Thoroughbreds kept up the pressure throughout, but the Cardinals held strong, as Skidmore took a 1-0 lead into halftime.
 
Braman doubled the score for the Thoroughbreds in the 52^nd minute, his third on the season. From there, it was all defense as Sebastian Bosch and the Skidmore back line held strong for the shutout. Bosch needed just a pair of saves for his fourth win and third clean sheet.
 
Skidmore edged Plattsburgh on shots by a 13-9 margin. Both teams earned five corners.
 
The Thoroughbreds will begin Liberty League action next Friday, visiting Union in Schenectady at 7 p.m.
