SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Freshman pitcher Hannah Davis spun a two-hitter to lead the Skidmore College softball team in a doubleheader sweep of Southern Vermont on a cold Sunday afternoon at Wagner Park. The Thoroughbreds took game one 8-0 in five innings and game two 7-0.

In game one, Skidmore jumped on Southern Vermont with three-run innings in the second, fourth, and fifth. Corbet got the scoring started with a two-RBI single to right field. A sacrifice fly by White in the next at-bat gave Skidmore a 3-0 lead.

In the fourth, Corbet led off the inning with a single after an 11-pitch at-bat. After stealing second, White brought her home with an RBI double. Fishkin drove White home in the next at-bat with an RBI single. After an error got Delgado on, Paolucci made the Mountaineers pay with a single to give Skidmore a 6-0 lead.

With the eight-run rule looming, Skidmore put the game away in the next inning. Corbet knocked in another RBI single and Fishkin put the finishing touches with a walk-off, RBI single.
