SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College women's basketball lost 71-59 to RIT in Liberty League women's basketball Saturday afternoon at the Williamson Center.

The Thoroughbreds are 2-6 overall and 0-2 in conference play, while the Tigers improve to 3-4, 1-1.

Skidmore had three players score double-digits.
Maddie Hastings led the way with 12 points and three steals, while
Clare Driscoll added 12 points and five boards.
Kate McCarney contributed 11 points.
Toyin Koleoso led in the paint with nine rebounds.

Kaleesha Joseph led the Tigers with a double/double of 20 points and 13 rebounds. Joseph also had five blocks. Brooke Stanley scored 19 points while Alysaa Juergens had 13.

Down 58-35 with 4:13 to play in the third quarter, the Thoroughbreds battled back with a 14-2 run to cut it to 60-50 with 9:50 to play in the fourth quarter. Koleoso started the run when she pulled up in the paint for a layup. Hastings had a fast break in the following possession after a steal by McCarney followed by another made layup by
Meggy Wiley in the next possession. Â Tsutsui capped the run with a layup to open the fourth quarter.

The Tigers regrouped and played Skidmore even the rest of the way for the 71-59 win.

Skidmore travels to face Liberty League opponent Vassar on Dec 11 at 5:30 p.m.
