SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College field hockey team had its best offensive performance in two seasons in a 6-0 non-conference win over Utica College, Wednesday afternoon at Wagner Park.

The Thoroughbreds are 12-7, while the Pioneers fall to 7-10.

After a scoreless first quarter,
Mariah Redler fired home a rebound from in front for her eighth goal of the season at 20:07.Â
Jordan Mjaatvedt made it 2-0 when Redler sent a cross in front to Mjaatvedt who quickly found the back of the cage at 24:35. Mjaatvedt made it 3-0 at the close of the half from
Annabelle Oates for her eighth goal of the season.

Morgan Sickels scored off a corner at 41:20.
Sarah Winters assisted. Winters then set up
Carrie Hughes for her eighth goal of the season off another corner at 45:36. Sickels closed out the scoring with her eighth of the season from
Ellie Bowen at 51:35.

Skidmore outshot Utica 15-7 and had an 8-4 corner advantage.

Maddy Carre had five saves for the shutout.
Madeleine Michaels had a first half defensive save for the Thoroughbreds. Megan Chamberlain had seven saves for the Pioneers.

Skidmore will close out the regular season on Saturday at Cortland in a 1 p.m. game.
