SARATOGA SPRINGS. N.Y.— Clarkson University posted a 1-0 Liberty League men's soccer win over Skidmore College Wednesday night at Wachenheim Field.

It was the third straight loss for the Thoroughbreds who are 4-3-2 overall and 0-3 in Liberty League play. The Golden Knights are 6-3-1 and 2-0-1.

Scoring chances were limited in the first half with each team managing three easily handed shots on goal.

Play picked-up in the second half. A Clarkson corner bounced around in front of the Skidmore net until Stephen Kilmek settled the ball and fired a point blank shot into the net for the game's lone goal at 63:19.

Skidmore played a man-up for the final 12:36 and pressured the Knights until the final horn.

The best opportunity came on a restart from 23 yards out with 25.9 seconds to play.
David Braman's rocket squarely caught the left post and came back to a Skidmore player who headed the ball back toward net, but Clarkson keeper Ian Roeloffs made the save.

Shots were 16-11 Clarkson and the Golden Knights had a 5-3 edge in corners.

Sebastian Bosch stopped eight shots for the Thoroughbreds, while Roeloffs finished with five saves.

Skidmore hit the road Saturday for a 2 p.m. game at Vassar.
