POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Vassar had no idea how to stop
Stanley Langyintuo who scored two goals to lead Skidmore to a 2-0 Liberty League road win Saturday afternoon.
Skidmore (5-3-2, 1-3 Liberty League) earns its first conference win of the season and snaps a rare three-game losing streak.
Langyintuo fired the shot into the upper left of the net from inside the box for his eighth goal of the season at 15:20.
The Thoroughbreds controlled possession in the second and only gave up three Brewers' shots. After a Skidmore yellow card at 81:50, Owen Fauth nearly capitalized on the free kick attempt, but
Sebastian Bosch was there for the stop. Langyintuo stole the ball in the midfield and broke through the Brewers' defense with 10 seconds remaining. He was then able to chip the ball in five yards out for his second goal of the day.
Bosch had four saves for the shutout.
Skidmore is at Williams College on Oct. 8 for a 4 p.m. contest.
