SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College field hockey team continued its hot play with a 4-1 nonleague win over SUNY Oneonta in the rain Wednesday at Wagner Park.

After a 3-5 start, the Thoroughbreds have won five of their last six for an 8-6 record. It was the 13
th straight win over the 6-7 Red Dragons. Skidmore leads the series with a 20-4-1 record.

The Thoroughbreds grabbed a quick 2-0 lead.
Morgan Sickels scored her third goal of the season at 2:11. A
Carrie Hughes pass found Sickels alone in front. Hughes made it 2-0 at 8:20 with her team-high sixth goal of the season with a hard shot that rocketed off the back of the cage off a corner.

Oneonta made the most of its lone shot of the first half. Morgan Fleming scored in traffic at 25:56 from Sophia Little.

Skidmore added a pair of goals in the third quarter for the 4-1 final. Off another corner, Winters sent a perfect pass to Sophia Marshall who connected for her second goal of the season at 33:55.
Mariah Redler added an insurance goal at 37:25 with Winters earning her third assist of the game off another corner.

The Thoroughbreds out shot the Red Dragons 23 and had a 14-1 corner advantage.

Maddy Carre didn't have to make a save, raising her record to 4-0.

Skidmore will host Ithaca College in a battle for Liberty League first place on Friday at 4 p.m.
