SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College hockey team closes out its non-conference schedule on the road Friday night at 7 p.m. against United Collegiate Hockey Conference leader Utica College.
 
The Thoroughbreds are coming off a two-game sweep of Hamilton College to bring a four-game win streak and 8-5-1 record into the game.
 
The 8-5 Pioneers have also won four straight, the last win coming Dec. 8 at King's College. Utica has allowed only two goals in its last four games.
 
Matt Muzyka continues to lead Skidmore in scoring with nine goals and nine assists for 18 points. 
Tim Allen (5-7—12) and 
Brandon Borges (3-9—12) are next. Rookie 
Austin Rook (3-8—11) rounds out the top four scorers.
 
Brandon Kasel is 5-4-0 in net with a 2.57 GAA and .912 save percentage. 
Brian Kowalski is 3-1-1 with a 2.95 GAA and .911 save percentage.
 
The Thoroughbreds are ranked 16
th nationally in penalty kills, going 54 of 62 for a .871 percentage.
 
Gregg Burmaster tops Utica in scoring with eight goals and nine assists for 17 points. The Pioneers have split players in net. Sean Dickson is 4-2-0 with a 1.79 GAA and .933 save percentage, while Gianluca Bagetta is 4-3-0 with a 2.11 GAA and .931 save percentage.
 
Utica is ranked 13
th in goals scored (3.85) and 12
th in defense (2.08).
 
Skidmore returns to New England Hockey Conference play Jan. 11 at home against Castleton University.
