SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College hockey team hits the road for its final two regular-season away games this weekend. The Thoroughbreds are at Southern Maine on Friday at 8 p.m. and New England College on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

With six games to play, only four points separate second from sixth in New England Hockey Conference standings. Skidmore (10-7-2 overall, 6-4-2 NEHC) is tied with Hobart (13-6, 7-5) for fifth with 14 points. UMass Boston (20 points) is first, followed by Babson (18), New England College (16), and Norwich (15).

The Thoroughbreds are 6-2-1 over their last nine games. The team beat NEC 5-2 on Nov. 16 and Southern Maine 4-1 on Nov. 17.

Matt Muzyka tops the team in scoring and is 10
th in the NEHC with nine goals and nine assists for 18 points.

Brandon Kasel made the NEHC Honor Roll after 40 saves in a 3-2 win over #11 Hobart. He is 7-5-1 with a 2.77 Goals Against Average and .912 save percentage.
Brian Kowalski is 3-2-1 with a 3.58 GAA and .895 sv%.

Southern Maine (3-13-3, 3-9-1) is 1-4-1 over its last six games. Two of the team's three league wins have come against Suffolk. Cody Braga leads USM in scoring with eight goals and five assists for 13 points. Anthony D'Aloisio (3.17 GAA, .898 sv%) and Paul Leger (4.94 GAA, .839 sv%) split time in net.

New England College (12-3-4, 6-3-4 NEHC) takes a 12 game (9-0-3) unbeaten streak into Friday's game against Hobart. The Statesmen are the last team to beat the Pilgrams, 3-1 on Nov. 17 in Geneva. Carlos Fornaris is among the national leaders in assists with 22 to go along with three goals. Connor Fries (14-7—21) and Nikita Pintusov (11-7—18) are next in scoring. Anthony Pupplo is 9-3-4 with a 2.10 GAA and .930 sv%.
