CLINTON, N.Y.—Hamilton College came out on top in a field hockey battle of old Liberty League rivals, 4-1 over Skidmore College, Tuesday evening.
The Thoroughbreds are 2-2, while the Continentals are 3-0.
Hamilton extended a 2-0 halftime lead to 4-0 before Skidmore got on the board at 60:04.
Sarah Winters picked up her first goal of the season from
Hannah Curtis off a
late penalty corner.
The Continentals outshot the Thoroughbreds 20-14.
Elizabeth Coughlin had five saves over the first 54:52, while
Madeleine Carre did not face a shot during the final
15:08.
Skidmore returns home Saturday to face #8 Montclair State at 2 p.m.
