SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—
Mariah Redler scored with 5:25 left in the second overtime to give the Skidmore College field hockey team a 2-1 Liberty League win over Rensselaer Saturday afternoon at Wagner Park.

It was the second straight overtime win for the Thoroughbreds (5-6, 1-2 Liberty) who have played extra time four times in 11 games. The Engineers are 2-8 and 1-2.

Skidmore scored first when
Gabby Hyman and
Grace Florsheim had a 2-on-0 with Florsheim touching the ball to Hyman who launched one into the top of the cage from 15 yards out at 10:16. RPI tied it when Mikaela DiBello got clear and connected on a hard shot from eight yards out.

The teams went back and forth in the second half with both goalies coming up big. Skidmore's
Elizabeth Coughlin came out twice to stuff scoring chances, while Rensselaer's Rachel Kaufman did the same on her end with several second chance saves.

In the overtime,
Marissa Folts challenged do the right side, drawing Kaufman out. Folts passed to an open Redler in front who completed the play for the 2-1 win.

Skidmore had a 28-12 shot and 14-10 corner advantage. Coughlin finished with six saves, while Kaufman had 20, including four in the overtimes.

The Thoroughbreds are at Nazareth on Sunday for a 1 p.m. game.
