ANNANDALE, N.Y.—The Skidmore College women's soccer team earned its first Liberty League playoff bid since 2013 with a 2-1 win at Bard College Saturday afternoon.

The Thoroughbreds (8-6-0, 5-4 Liberty) finished in a three-way tie for fourth, but will be seeded fifth after a tiebreaker. Skidmore travels to fourth seed St. Lawrence University for a quarterfinal match on Oct. 30. William Smith is the top seed and will host the semifinals and championship on Nov. 3-4.

Needing a win or tie to make the tournament, Skidmore was unable to solve the Bard (4-11-1, 0-9) defense until
Emma Basso scored from
Courtney Shaw on a one-timer from
Courtney Shaw at 47: 59. The Raptors leveled the game at 54:19 on Dylan McDonald's ninth goal of the season.

Melissa Haas earned the game-winner when she scored on a rebound off a blocked shot at 75:55.
