ROCHESTER, N.Y.—The Skidmore College men's soccer team suffered a tough 2-1 overtime loss at RIT in Liberty League action Saturday afternoon in Rochester.
The loss dropped the Thoroughbreds to 6-4-3 overall and 2-3-1 in league play. The Tigers are 6-5-1 and 2-4 in league play.
RIT went up 1-0 when Nick Simone scored from 10-yards out at 23:22 for 1-0 lead.
Isaac Myran evened the game with his first collegiate goal on a long run from inside the RIT box at 37:45
After a scoreless second half and first OT, Simon Garno scored the game winner from Nick Simone at 1:08.38.
RIT was up 19-8 in shots and 4-2 in corners.
Sebastian Bosch had two saves for the Thoroughbreds, while Will Sokol had two saves
for the Tigers.
Skidmore travels to Clarkson in a key Liberty League match-up on Oct. 17 for a 7 p.m. contest.
