SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Sixth-ranked St. Lawrence used a 8-0 run to pull away from Skidmore, as the Thoroughbreds fell 15-7 in the regular season finale on a warm Saturday afternoon at Wachenheim Field.
Skidmore finishes the season with a 6-9 record overall and a 2-5 mark in league play. St. Lawrence improves to 14-1 and 6-1. The Saints will be the second seed in the upcoming Liberty League tournament.

Will Lukas each tallied three points on a goal and two assists to lead the Thoroughbreds. Csenge,

Cody Legeza,
RJ Caruso, and
Nick Georgalas also scored.
Brendan Halloran provided an assist. Howat,
Chris Sibilia, and
Alex Stoffel caused two turnovers apiece.
Chris Baughan made 13 saves in goal, adding a team-leading four ground balls.
Conor Healey provided the firepower for St. Lawrence, tallying eight points on a pair of goals and six assists. Cal Hynson and Jordan Dow each scored three goals. Alex Terry picked up the victory in net, making eight saves.
Skidmore got off to a quick start, with Georgalas scoring on a feed from Metzler 35 seconds into the game. Metzler doubled the score three minutes later, an unassisted goal at 11:12.
The Saints got on the board at 10:22 with the first of Dow's three goals, then added two more to take a 3-2 lead. Skidmore answered, as the combination of Halloran to Lukas at 4:56 tied the game at three. Off a Skidmore turnover, St. Lawrence took the lead with four-tenths of a second remaining in the first quarter.
The Saints then went on a big run in the second quarter, outscoring Skidmore 6-0 to take a 10-3 halftime lead. St. Lawrence scored to begin the third quarter, before Csenge broke the drought with his goal at 9:57. The Saints added two, before Megnia and Legeza scored late, as St. Lawrence held a 13-6 lead heading into the fourth.
The Saints tallied a pair of goals in the early stages of the fourth, before Caruso capped off the 2017 season for the Thoroughbreds with his goal at 7:48.
The Saints held a 44-25 shot advantage and won 15 out of 25 faceoffs. Skidmore was 20-for-25 on clear attempts and held St. Lawrence to a 20-for-27 mark. St. Lawerence went 0-for-1 with the extra man and Skidmore couldn't convert on a pair of man-up attempts.
