CANTON, N.Y.—Skidmore outscored St. Lawrence 31-5 in the fourth quarter on the way to a come-from-behind 68-48 road win over St. Lawrence University Friday night.

The win clinches the Liberty League regular season title for the Thoroughbreds who are 16-8 overall and 12-3 in the Liberty League. Skidmore closes out the regular season at home Sunday at 4 p.m. against Clarkson and will host a quarterfinal playoff game on Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. St. Lawrence ends its season at 9-15 and 6-10.

Kelly Donnelly and
Veronica Moceri scored 20 points each to lead the Thoroughbreds. Donnelly had five steals, while Moceri was a perfect 6-6 from the line.
Caite Opfer came off the bench to score 11 points.

Skidmore was down by 17 points late in the second quarter and trailed 43-37 at the end of the third quarter.

St. Lawrence upped its lead to 46-38 with 9:22 left, before the Thoroughbreds kicked it into gear and dominated the Saints with a 30-2 run to close out the game. The Skidmore defense shut out St. Lawrence over the final 6:18.

In the fourth quarter, Opfer scored eight points, while Donnelly, Moceri, and
Ari Fustini hit for six each.
