SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College hockey team returns home this weekend for New England Hockey Conference contests against defending NCAA Division III Norwich University and Castleton University.

There will be a free bus from Case Center to both games. Buses will depart at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Friday night's 7 p.m. game against Norwich will be Youth Hockey Night. There will be free admission, donations to support Juvenile Diabetes, game pucks to first 50 youth players in jerseys, mini game during first intermission, fan giveaways, and Score-O sponsored by the Barrelhouse.

Saturday is Skidmore Hockey Alumni Day. The Annual Hiller-First Alumni game will take place at 12:45 p.m., followed by the Skidmore-Norwich game at 4 p.m.

The Thoroughbreds are 0-2-1 and 0-1-1 in the NEHC. Skidmore is coming off a 2-2 road tie against Southern Maine on Nov. 4.  Matt Muzyka and
Adam Moodie scored for the Thoroughbreds, while Brian Kowalski had 27 saves in his first collegiate start.

Muzyka leads Skidmore in scoring with two goals and two assists. Moodie has two goals and an assist and
Tim Allen has three assists.

The Thoroughbreds handed Norwich its lone loss of the 2016-17 season, 3-2 in overtime, last Nov. 18 with two goals in the last 2:53 of regulation and the overtime winner at 63:02.

The Cadets, ranked third nationally, are 2-1 overall and 2-0 in the NEHC. The team will bring a 17-game NEHC regular season unbeaten streak to Saratoga. Todd Jackson tops the team in scoring with three goals, while Coby Downs has two goals and an assist. Braeden Ostepchuk has a 1.67 GAA and .938 save percentage in three starts.

Castleton is 1-2 overall and 0-2 in the NEHC before Friday night's game against Hobart. Caleb Fizer and Trevor Hanna have a goal and two assists each for the Spartans. Ryan Mulder has a 4.00 GAA and .873 save percentage in two starts.
