SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—Clarkson snapped Skidmore's five-game unbeaten streak with a 3-2 Liberty League men's soccer win Wednesday night at Wachenheim Field.

It was the first league loss for the Thoroughbreds who have a 5-2-6 overall and 1-1-5 Liberty League record. The Golden Knights move to 7-6-1 overall and 3-3-1 in league play.

Clarkson got on the board first when James Homan headed a corner to Kevin Calnan who headed into the net at 10:51.   Skidmore evened it 1-1 at 28:54 when Ben Poole headed home a long throw from Ben Caples.

The Golden Knights took a 2-1 lead when a Thoroughbred miscommunication left a ball in front for Stephen Kilmek to fire into an empty net at 34:38.

Drew Lewis made a quick move to get a head on a long cross from Brandon Bahr for 3-1 Clarkson lead at 55:36.

Skidmore's second goal came with five seconds to play when Augustine Okoye headed one past Riley McDonald off a Matt Schwab corner.
