Emily Mendes leveled the game in the 73
rd minute and the Skidmore College defense held for a 1-1 Liberty League women's soccer tie at RIT on Saturday.

The Thoroughbreds are 2-8-2 overall and 0-4-2 in league games, while the Tigers are 8-3-2 and 2-2-3.

RIT took advantage of a late first half corner when Alyssa Tatti scored off a Jenna Valleriano corner at 43:09. It was the game's first shot on goal for the Tigers. Skidmore had most of the first half play with 6-3 shot advantage.

The Tigers carried the play in the second half, but Skidmore tied it when
Yasmine Boukari placed a perfect pass to Mendes who scored into the right side at 72:40. It was the first shot on goal of the second half for the Thoroughbreds.

RIT outshot Skidmore 16-8 and led 12-3 on corners. The Skidmore defense shut down seven second half Tiger corners and one in overtime.

Alyssa Rollins was tough in goal for the Thoroughbreds with five saves, including three in the second half and two in the overtime.

Skidmore travels to Ramapo for a nonleague game on Oct. 18 at 3 p.m.
