SANTA CRUZ, Calif.—The Skidmore College men's basketball team dropped a 63-47 contest to UC Santa Cruz in the team's final regular season non-league game, Monday night at the Kaiser Permanente Arena.

The Thoroughbreds are 7-4 and return to Liberty League action at home this weekend against Union (Friday, 8 p.m.) and Rensselaer (Saturday, 4 p.m.). The Banana Slugs are 8-9.

 Skidmore entered the game averaging 81.1 points per game, but struggled on the offensive end against Santa Cruz, shooting just 32.7 percent from the floor and hitting 3 of 23 (13.0%) from beyond the arc.

Edvinas Rupkus and
Aldin Medunjanin hit double figures. Rupkus scored 14 points and had eight rebounds and three blocks. Medunjanin contributed 13 points, five assists, and three steals.
