The 16th ranked Thoroughbreds have won three straight to move to 4-1, while the Hawks drop to 4-2.

A resilient Skidmore squad didn't let down after Saturday's 3-0 upset of #7 Montclair State. The Thoroughbreds controlled the tempo and limited any offensive threats by the visitors.

Grace Florsheim scored her fourth of the season off a pinpoint pass from
Caroline Saros at 11:56 for a 1-0 lead.Â
Krista Lamoreaux laid out in front of the net to get her stick on a pass from Saros to score the second goal at 40:17.

New Paltz had a chance early in the game with consecutive shots on goal, but Thoroughbred goalie
Elizabeth Coughlin turned both away on the way to her second straight shutout.

Becca Halter led the Skidmore defense that allowed just six shots, three on goal.

The Thoroughbreds had a 25-6 shot and 5-2 corner advantage. Coughlin finished with three saves. Megan Gangeware had 13 saves.

Skidmore looks to make it four straight on Wednesday at 4 p.m. when Castleton visits Wagner Park.
