Kevin Mulvey scored seven goals to lead the Skidmore College men's lacrosse team to a 19-4 win over Western Connecticut State University Wednesday evening at Wachenheim Field.

The Thoroughbreds move to 3-2, while the Colonials are 0-4.

Mulvey was one of eight Skidmore players to score.
Chris Melligon scored a career-high three goals.
Eric Megnia and
Jack Metzler had two goals and two assists each.
Brendan Halloran scored twice, while
Jack Curry,
Will Pottow, and
Cody Legeza each tallied single goals.Â
Andrew DeStefano had game-high three assists.Â
Will Murphy had a game-high six ground balls.

Robby Senesen led WCSU with two goals. Nate Wilson had a goal and two assists and Jesse Beatty had a goal and an assist.

The Thoroughbreds took a quick 2-0 lead on goals by Megnia and Mulvey. The Colonials got on the board when Wilson set Senesen up for a man-up score at 8:55 of the first.

Skidmore rattled off the next 10 goals, including six by Mulvey to open a 12-1 lead with 12:32 to play in the third on the way to the 19-4 final.

The Thoroughbreds won 24 of 27 face offs.
Geoffrey Grant was 16-18 and
RJ Caruso 8-9.

Skidmore had 51-12 groundball and 68-25 shot advantage.Â
Chris Baughan got the win in net with six saves over the first 30 minutes.
Josh Worley and
Tim Rahill combined for four saves in the second half.
