POTSDAM, N.Y.—The Skidmore College men's basketball team clinched a home playoff game with a convincing 72-43 Liberty League win over Clarkson University Friday night.

The Liberty League regular season title will be on the line when the Thoroughbreds (15-9, 10-5 Liberty League) host St. Lawrence on Sunday at 4 p.m. The Liberty League semifinals will be held Feb. 24.

Clarkson end its season at 9-16 and 6-10.

Royce Paris scored 12 points and had three assists to lead Skidmore.
Isaac Carp chipped in 11 points and
Erik Sanders had 10. The Thoroughbreds were able to limit the starting five to 25 minutes or less.

Skidmore put the game away early with a 19-0 first half run. Clinging to a 10-9 lead with 15:18 to play,
Edvinas Rupkus hit a three-pointer to start the run that ended with the Thoroughbreds up 29-9 with 8:26 left. Skidmore extended the lead to 28 at the half, 44-16.

Skidmore's bench had a 36-14 advantage. Clarkson scored 17 of its 44 points from the free throw line.

The win completes the season sweep for the Thoroughbreds who won 66-61 in Saratoga on Jan. 19.
