SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.— The Skidmore College hockey team closes out the regular season at home this weekend against the University of New England on Friday at 7 p.m. and Southern Maine on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Free student buses will run from Case Center 30 minutes before each game.

The Thoroughbreds are 5-14-4 overall and 5-8-3 in the New England Hockey Conference. The team is tied for sixth, four points behind fourth place UNE (12-9-2, 8-7-1 NEHC). Southern Maine (7-15-1, 4-12) will finish eighth.

The NEHC quarterfinals will be played Feb. 20 at the four highest seeds.

Marc Cibelli (11-g, 18-a, 29 points) and
Anthony Bird (10-17—27) top Skidmore in scoring.
Adam Moodie (4-13—17) and defenseman
Connor Pelkey (6-5—11) round out the top four scorers. Goalie
Jack McDonald has a 2.86 goals against average and .916 save percentage in 19 starts.

After a quick start, UNE is 2-4-1 over its last seven games. The Nor'Easters beat Skidmore 3-2 on Jan. 2. Brothers Trevor (11-15—26) and Brady Fleurent (9-14—23) lead the team in scoring. Goalies Mason Riley (2.68 GAA, .905 sv%) and Connor Maloney (3.02, .911) split time in net.

Southern Maine bounced back from a 12-game winless streak to win a pair of NEHC games last weekend over St. Anselm and New England College. Skidmore beat the Huskies 1-0 on Jan. 8. Zach Dymock (8-7—15) is the team's top scorer. Kyle Shapiro (3.05, .899) has done most of the work in net with 21 games.
