CANTON, N.Y.—The Skidmore College volleyball team lost a heartbreaking Liberty League marathon to RIT, 3-2 (18-25, 25-21, 25-15, 22-25, 15-12) Friday night at St. Lawrence.

The Thoroughbreds lost the nightcap to Union, 3-1 (25-17, 27-29, 25-14, 25-20) to fall to 10-11 overall and 2-4 in the Liberty League. Skidmore moves to Clarkson on Saturday for matches against the Golden Knights and St. Lawrence.

In the RIT match,
Bailey Hutchins had a team-high 12 kills and 16 assists.
Caite Canfield rang-up 19 digs, nine kills and five assists, while Marcela Familiar added 12 digs, three aces, and six assists.

Union earned the season split with Skidmore. Canfield had 14 kills and nine digs. Hutchins had 20 assists and 16 digs, while Familiar had 26 digs.
Allie Dillon had 17 digs, while
Katy Ehnstrom contributed five blocks and seven kills.
Rachel Licata had three blocks.
