ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Skidmore College sophomore Kelly Donnelly scored 16 of her game-high 18 points in the first 6:07 of the game, and the Thoroughbreds cruised to an 83-33 victory over Bard College in a Liberty League game on Saturday afternoon.
 
Skidmore (8-6, 3-3 Liberty League) used trapping pressure to cause numerous Bard turnovers, especially early on, and Donnelly scored on eight layups off those turnovers as the Thoroughbreds built a big lead. It was 21-10 after one quarter and 46-14 at halftime.
 
Skidmore emptied its bench in the second half, and all 14 players on the roster scored. Donnelly finished with 18 points and seven rebounds in 16 minutes. Meaghan Flanagan, Migle Vilunaite and Minja Ranisavljevic added eight points apiece.
 
Bard (5-10, 0-6) got eight points and seven rebounds from Tytravia Riley.
 
Up next for Skidmore is a home Liberty League contest with Clarkson on Tuesday night at home. Tip is at 6.

COACH BENNETT:
This was a very good weekend for us. Going 2-0 on the road in conference play is always good. We have slowly but aggressively lifted ourselves out of the 1-3 start we had and are playing fairly well. Today we saw more improvement in a number of things and that's not always the case given the scenario.

Next weeks games will be telling in a lot of ways. Not based solely on the results but more importantly for us based on the creation of those results by how we play each game and how we respond to each play and possession on both ends of the floor and in between. For us it's as much about the game within the game as it is simply about the game.
