Skott finished 2-2 with two runs and an RBI. Gorstein was 0-1 with a walk, two runs, and a sacrifice hit.
"I am so proud of the way our team competed against Kean this morning," said Skidmore coach
Hannah Shalett. "We got outstanding pitching performances from both of our pitchers to go along with solid defense, and an offense that put pressure on the defense in a lot of different ways. These first six games in Florida have really shown us what our team is capable of when we put together a complete game. We are looking forward to our off day Wednesday before finishing the week off with four more games against quality opponents."
In the second game, Cortland scored eight runs on 13 hits and limited the Thoroughbreds to three hits.
Dani DeGregory was 1-2 and
Emily Mangan was 1-1.
Skidmore continues its Florida trip on March 19 against St. Norbert and Springfield.
