SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The winter break ends on New Year's Day for the Skidmore College hockey team when the Thoroughbreds travel to Clinton, N.Y. for a 4 p.m. non-league game against Hamilton College. The home-and-home series continues Jan. 2 when Thoroughbreds host the Continentals in a 4 p.m. contest at the Saratoga Springs City Rink.
The away game will be played at the venerable Clinton Arena.
Skidmore has been off since a 4-3 loss on Dec. 5 at Hobart. The Thoroughbreds are 2-8-1 overall with three one-goal losses to nationally ranked teams.
Marc Cibelli (6-g, 11-a, 17 points) and
Anthony Bird (5-9—14) lead the team in scoring. Cibelli has four power-play goals. Goalie
Jack McDonald has a 2.88 goals against average and .919 save percentage in eight starts.
Hamilton is 4-3-1 with a 1-0 win over Williams College in its last game on Dec. 12. Robbie Murden (5-4—9) leads the Continentals in scoring. Evan Buitenhuis has a 1.55 GAA and .957 sv% in seven starts.
