The Thoroughbreds go to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in league play, while the Hawks improve to 2-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference.

Freshmen
Adam Moodie and
Corey Morgan each had a goal and an assist for Skidmore. In goal, freshman
Oscar Flory made 31 saves on 35 shots.

Jeremy Carignan scored a pair of goals to lead Saint Anselm, while CJ Blaszka chipped in with a goal and a helper. In goal, Shayne Joyce stopped 21 of 23 shots.

Saint Anselm took a 1-0 lead at 16:40 of the first period with a power play tally from Carignan. After 21 scoreless minutes, Skidmore knotted the game at 1-1 at 18:34 of the second, as Moodie netted his first career goal on a feed from Morgan.

The two teams combined for three goals in the opening 5:01 of the third period. The Hawks regained the lead at 2:39, but the Thoroughbreds answered back at 4:45 on Morgan's first goal of the year with assists from Moodie and
Marc Cibelli.

Mark Meads put the home side back in front with a short-handed goal just 16 seconds later and Carignan sealed the win with at empty net goal at 18:33.

Skidmore plays its home opener at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13 against Babson in its annual "Pack the Rink" game.
