Live Stats SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y—The Skidmore College volleyball teams heads to Middlebury Tuesday night for a non-conference clash.
The Thoroughbreds dropped three matches at SUNY Poly over the weekend, suffering losses against Plattsburgh, St. John Fisher and SUNY Poly. Freshman
Caite Canfield posted three double-doubles, producing 14 kills and 19 digs against Plattsburgh, 14 kills and a career-high 42 digs against Fisher and 18 digs and 11 kills against SUNY Poly.
Allie Dillon (17 digs, 10 kills) and
Kalle Fox (17 assists, 11 digs) each notched double-doubles against SUNY Poly, while
Rachel Licata had a season-high five blocks against Plattsburgh.
Canfield has six double-doubles over her last seventh matches and is seventh in the league in kills per set (2.76) and digs per set (3.64) and 10th in service aces per set (0.43). Licata is fifth in the conference in blocks per set (0.48).
SCOUTING MIDDLEBURY (11-2)
Middlebury won its eighth straight match on Saturday, sweeping Wesleyan. Sophomore outside hitter Becca Raffel had a match-high 19 kills, sophomore Emily Kolodka posted a match-best 23 digs and freshman defensive specialist Claire White-Dzuro contributed four service aces.
Raffel has paced the Pantehrs offense, ranking second in the conference in kills per set (3.92). Junior Melanie English is second in the league in blocks per set (1.08), while Kolodka is averaging a team-high 3.17 digs per set.The Panthers lead the NESCAC in kills per set (12.55) and rank third in assists per set (11.27).
