CANTON, N.Y.—CANTON, N.Y.—Jethro Dede's goal in the 60th minute proved to be the difference in St. Lawrence's 1-0 Liberty League win over the 23rd-ranked Skidmore College men's soccer team, Saturday afternoon at Sandy MacAllaster Field.
The Thoroughbreds go to 9-3-1 overall and 4-2-0 in league play, while the Saints improved to 11-3-2 and 5-2, taking sole possession of first place in the conference standings. Skidmore is now tied for third with RIT with 12 points.

The Thoroughbreds nearly found the equalizer with just over 10 minutes to play with
Tim Sullivan in on a break at the edge of the box, but Roethel came off his line and made a sliding save 15 yards out to preserve his league-leading 11th shutout of the season.
The Saints finished with a slight 16-15 edge in total shots and 6-5 advantage in shots on goal. They also finished with seven corners to Skidmore's five.
