UTICA, N.Y.—Fresh off its first national ranking in nine seasons, the 22
nd ranked Skidmore College men's soccer team beat Utica College 2-1 in overtime Tuesday night.

The 9-2 Thoroughbreds have won six straight. Utica drops to 4-9.

With time running out in the second overtime,
Augustine Okoye took a long throw from
Ben Caples and beat Pioneer keeper Matthew Milograno for the win. It was the team-high sixth goal of the season for Okoye and the sixth assist for Caples. Â

Keven Santos scored his fifth goal of the season at 54:57 to put Skidmore on top 1-0. The Pioneers tied it on Matt Belijan's goal at 67:51. It was the first goal allowed by the Thoroughbred defense in six games.

Skidmore outshot Utica by a wide 28-11 margin.

Eli Kisselbach had three saves for the Thoroughbreds.Â

Skidmore will play its final non-conference game at home Sunday at 3 p.m. vs. Ithaca College.
