SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The 22nd-ranked Skidmore College men's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to seven with a 0-0 tie against Ithaca on 'Senior Day,' Sunday afternoon at Wachenheim Field.

The Thoroughbreds, who have played three overtime games in their last four contests, go to 9-2-1, while the Bombers move to 4-7-2.

Skidmore controlled play in the first half, outshooting Ithaca 9-3, but the Bombers had the game's first scoring opportunity.

Cobi Byrne clipped a ball over the Thoroughbreds back four, sending Sean Forward in alone at goal, but Skidmore goalkeeper
Eli Kisselbach made a quick reaction save to deny Forward's close range strike.

The Thoroughbreds nearly pulled in front in the closing minutes of the first half as
Kevin Santos raced onto the end of a
Mike Park long ball before rolling a shot wide of the left post, keeping the game at 0-0 at the break.

Skidmore continued to have the better of play in the second half it was nearly rewarded in the 57th minute.
Augustine Okoye worked his way into Ithaca box for one-on-one with Bombers goalkeeper Zach Jacobsen, but his shot rocketed off the post.

Ithaca's lone shot of the frame 65th minute was a threatening one, as Nathan Schoen's blast from 30 yards curled just wide of the left post.

The Thoroughbreds recorded four shots in the final 25 minutes of the stanza, forcing Jacobsen into two of his 10 saves on the day, but they could not find the winner.

The Bombers came out quickly in the first overtime period, mounting an attack in the opening minute. Alexi Brosnihan broke down the right and whipped a ball across the face of goal, but no Ithaca player could get on the end of the cross.

Skidmore's best chance in overtime came in the second period as
Jeremy Tenenbaum sent a swirling left-footed half volley off the side netting.

Ithaca recorded one final shot in the 105th minute, but Kisselbach easily dealt with Andrew Coburn's long-range effort, securing his seventh shutout of the season.

The Thoroughbreds outshot the Bombers 23-6 and had a 2-0 edge in corners. Kisselbach finished with three saves.

Skidmore, which has shutout six of its last seven opponents, returns to Liberty League play Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. when it welcomes crosstown rival RPI.
