SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College men's basketball team will look to rebound from its first conference loss of the season when it goes to Vassar and Bard this weekend.

SCOUTING THE THOROUGHBREDS (9-6, 6-1 Liberty League): Skidmore had its six-game winning streak snapped by Hobart on Saturday after beating Union, 82-63 on Friday…Junior guard Erik Sanders tallied 14 of his game-high 21 points against Union in the second half, going 3 for 5 from the field and a perfect 8 for 8 from the charity stripe…Junior guard Aldin Medunjanin was just shy of a triple-double with 20 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists…Senior forward Connor Merrill had a team-high 18 points and seven rebounds against the Statesmen, going 7 for 14 from the floor.
 
TEAM STATISTICS: Skidmore ranks sixth in Division III in field-goal percentage defense (37.1%), eleventh in defensive rebounds per game (29.3) and 21st in blocked shots per game (4.7)…The Thoroughbreds had their second worst shooting performance of the season against Hobart (36.2%) after shooting a season-high 46.7% (7-15) from 3-point range against Union…Skidmore is 3-2 on the road.
 
STATISTICAL LEADERS: Medunjanin is 11 points shy of the 1000 career point mark…He is averaging 15.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game over the last four games…Sanders is averaging 15.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game over the last five conference contests…Merrill leads the league in blocked shots per game (1.7) and ranks fifth in field goal percentage (48.4%)…Medunjanin (14.4 ppg), Sanders (14.3 ppg) and Merrill (14.3 ppg) sit six-seven-eight in the conference in scoring.

SCOUTING THE BREWERS (5-11, 1-6 Liberty League): Vassar dropped back-to-back home conference games last weekend, with losses against St. Lawrence and league leaders Clarkson…Senior forward Luca Laden had a game-high 18 points and 10 rebounds against the Saints…Junior guard Erikson Wasyl added 17 points, going 6 of 12 from the field, including 5 of 11 from 3-point range…The Brewers scored a season-low 38 points in a 69-38 loss to the Golden Knights.
 
TEAM STATISTICS: Vassar is 4-1 when recording 15 or more team assists and 3-1 when shooting 40% or better from beyond the arc…The Brewers average a league-low 61.1 points per game and have been outscored by an average of 8.7 points in conference contests...Vassar is 3-5 at home.
