Men's basketball prepares for crucial Liberty League weekend

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College men's basketball team will look to stay at the front of the pack this weekend when it takes on Liberty League rivals Union and Hobart.

SCOUTING THE THOROUGHBREDS (8-5, 5-0 Liberty League): Skidmore won its fifth straight game Tuesday night, knocking off Clarkson 63-46…Junior guard Erik Sanders scored 14 of his game-high 17 points in the second half…Junior guard Aldin Medunjanin added nine points and five boards in the second stanza, finishing with 15 points and 11 rebounds…The Thoroughbreds held the Golden Knights to 30.6% shooting (15-49).

SCOUTING THE DUTCHMEN (8-8, 2-5 Liberty League): Union dropped its fourth straight contest Tuesday night, falling 76-68 to RIT… The Dutchmen shot a season-low 36.1% (22-61) from the floor…Junior guard William Hython scored 26 points in the loss, going 9 for 14 from the field and 8 for 10 from the charity stripe…Sophomore guard Deshon Burgess chipped in with 15 points and eight boards.
