SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- The Skidmore College volleyball team plays its first home matches of the year, hosting the 2014 Skidmore College Classic Sept. 26-27.
 
The Thoroughbreds (2-8) will take on the Sage Colleges and St. John Fisher on Friday before facing Hamilton and Middlebury on Saturday.
 
Senior outside hitter Aria Goodman leads the conference in service aces per set (0.65) and ranks fourth in kills per set (2.92) and sixth in digs per set (3.32). Freshman Kalle Fox been a major contributor on offense and defense, currently ranking second in the conference in assists per set (7.70) and eighth in digs per set (2.97). Sophomore Marcela Familiar-Bolanos has produced a league-high 6.73 digs per set to go along with nine service aces.
 
Skidmore opens Liberty League play on the road Oct. 3-4 with matches against Clarkson, Vassar, Bard and St. Lawrence.
