"Tough way to end the season," said Skidmore coach
Joe Burke. "I thought we controlled the game until the very end, but to Vassar's credit they made a couple big plays. The game is 40 minutes and we didn't close the deal.
"I feel badly for
Quenten Howard and
Brian Moore our two seniors. We were hoping to get them another championship. Unfortunately, that did not happen, but they will get that great diploma and know they had four great years of Skidmore Basketball. They were part of 68 wins, they won 2 conference championships, and went to the NCCA tournament twice."
