Skidmore season ends at Norwich

NORTHFIELD, Vt. – Top seed Norwich advanced to the ECAC East semifinals with a 6-0 win over eighth seed Skidmore College Saturday at Kreitzberg Arena.

The Thoroughbreds end their season at 7-12-7, while the Cadets improve to 18-5-3.

The Cadets scored a late first period goal and three more in the second to put the game away.

Norwich outshot Skidmore 46-14.

Jack McDonald made 32 saves in the loss, while Ben Freiberg made eight saves in relief.
